2017-2018 Spanish Program

The Program

• Classes are taught by caring and enthusiastic teachers from the Cincinnati Spanish Academy (CSA).
• Spanish is offered on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:20pm for grades K-6.
• CSA’s mission is to provide an enriching lesson complete with songs, listening exercises and age-appropriate, interactive activities.
• Students in grades K-6 can enroll in the program. Students will be grouped by age and experience depending on enrollment. There is a maximum of 14 students per class and a minimum of 7.
• Students who participate in After School Care may also participate in Spanish and will be escorted back to After School Care at the end of each class.

The Objetive

• The objective of the program is to immerse kids in the language as much as possible so that kids acquire the language similar to how they learned their first language.
• The focus is on understanding the spoken language, first attempts at using the language, and reinforcement through exercises in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
• Kids build on what they learn year-after-year and progress through basics such as colors, numbers, and letters through using various verb tenses and constructing basic phrases as vocabulary becomes more robust.

Schedule

• Spanish is offered Tuesdays from 2:30-3:20pm starting October 3rd for 22 weeks.
• Children will be grouped by age and experience, depending on enrollment.
• Program observes school breaks/holidays (snow days/cancellations are made up at the end of the sessions).
• Parents must agree to arrive ON TIME for pick up after class.

Tuiton

• The cost for the entire program is $215. This fee covers the cost of instruction and materials.
• A payment plan is available, and payments may be made monthly for up to 3 months.
• Registrations must be completed by September 22nd. Space is limited and participants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

Registration
