Clinton Elementary School 2023 - 2024 Spanish Program
The Program
- Classes are taught by caring and enthusiastic teachers from the Columbus Spanish Place (CSP).
- Spanish is offered for grades K-2 on Mondays and grades 3-5 on Wednesdays from 3:45-4:30pm.
- CSP’s mission is to provide an enriching lesson complete with songs, listening exercises and age-appropriate, interactive activities.
- Children are grouped by age and experience. There is a maximum of 13 students per class and a minimum of 7.
The Objetive
- The objective of the program is to immerse kids in the language as much as possible so that kids acquire the language similar to how they learned their first language.
- The focus is on understanding the spoken language, first attempts at using the language, and reinforcement through exercises in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
- Kids build on what they learn year-after-year and progress through basics such as colors, numbers, and letters through using various verb tenses and constructing basic phrases as vocabulary becomes more robust.
Schedule
- Spanish is offered Mondays for grades K-2 or Wednesdays for grades 3-5 from 3:45-4:30pm starting October 2nd or 4th for 24 weeks.
- Program observes school breaks/holidays (snow days/cancellations are made up at the end of the sessions).
- Parents must agree to arrive ON TIME for pick up after class (Students enrolled in after school care will be escorted back after class).
Tuiton
- The cost for the entire program is $260. This fee covers the cost of instruction and materials.
- A payment plan is available, and a 10% discount is offered for additional siblings!
- Registrations must be completed by September 24th. Space is limited and participants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
